Our Climate, Not Your Business Demo +Medic Arrests

[de] This morning at 10am climate activists gathered at Nytorv to take part in the Don't Buy the Lie march to take direct action in protest against corporations taking part in Cop15 [report].  Leading police a merry dance, protestors moved en masse up Rosenørns Allé to the Copenhagen 'Forum' venue, which is hosting the cynical green-washing Green Business expo during Cop15.

Dont Buy the lie' demonstration

Around 300 people gathered for the ‘Dont buy the lie’ demonstration in Copenhagen. They were protesting the green washing of corporations during the Cop15. Copenhagen, Denmark. 11/12/2009.

The people who were blocked in at Dronning Louises Bro (Dronning Louise's Bridge) by police are being released and allowed to walk away, but with police shrouding them on both sides.  The police have also got dogs out but seemingly more as a provocation or deterrant than to be used against protesters.  Feeling is that the protest is dispersing and people are possibly calling it a day, heading to info points.

Reports of approximately 200 people (and 2 public buses) on Dronning Louises Bro being penned in by two lines of riot police [timblepic], who have effectively surrounded them on the city side of the bridge.  There are about 8 police waggons present.  Protestors reported to be heading east into the city.  There are also a number of people (100) who are on the West side of the bridge blocked out of the city by the two police lines. People chanting "Not Your Business!" See Qik Video

Danish police earlier said 35 arrests so far today, latest rumour is over 50.

Pics from Don't Buy The Lie demo

A few pictures from after the meeting place trying to get to the forum and then into town. Police made many attempts to stop people moving, many times people got around them, sometimes the road was blocked by police vehicles. People were chanting "Not Your Business" throughout the demo.

More reports of police stopping and searching people on the streets around the city. At H.C. Ørsteds Vej a group has just been stopped and searched. One man was arrested because he had a can of spray paint.
